The Hearts Behind the Pantry

Northeast Georgia Food Pantry Volunteers
Helping our community has always been close to our hearts. We saw families in our own neighborhood struggling to put food on the table, and we couldn’t ignore it.

As the need continued to grow, we felt it was time to make it official so we could reach more people. That is why we founded the Northeast Georgia Food Pantry.
The Northeast Georgia Food Pantry model is all about helping people where they are and reminding them that their community cares.”

Local Response To Real Need

Northeast Georgia Food Pantry began with a simple belief: no one should go hungry, and no one should be judged for needing help. What started as a small idea has grown into a mobile food support effort for individuals and families across our region — offering non-perishable food, care, and dignity to those who need it most.

We understand that life can be hard — transportation, job loss, medical bills, or just making ends meet. But access to food should never be the hardest part.

That’s why we take a mobile-first approach through our pop-up pantry events — bringing food directly into neighborhoods where traditional food banks or pantries may be too far away.

We do not deliver food to individual homes, but instead set up in accessible, central event locations within the community, to help families can reach us with minimal barriers.

Feeding Families In Northeast Georgia Communities

Where We
Serve

NE Georgia Food Pantry (aka Northeast Georgia Food Pantry) organizes monthly mobile pop-up pantries in underserved neighborhoods, delivering shelf-stable groceries and basic essentials in a judgment-free environment. Each box is thoughtfully packed and distributed by volunteers who are committed to treating every person with care and respect.

We currently serve the following communities and the surrounding areas:

  • Cornelia

  • Demorest

  • Mt. Airy

  • Toccoa

  • Lavonia

  • Martin

Where we're headed

We’re working hard to grow from a monthly pop-up pantry into a weekly support system — one that reaches more people and provides even more of what families truly need.

As we grow through donations, volunteers, and community partnerships, our goal is to expand our offerings to include essential hygiene and household items used every day.
